It has been ridiculously beautiful lately... well except for the last two days, but you know what I mean. Those days before the crappy days! The days where it was warm enough to frolic in sun dresses, sip lemonade while you read outside, or even go to the zoo!
And guess what people.... I did none of those. Mostly my days were endless views of merchandise and customers in a windowless mall where the only glimpse of warm sunshine days I got was my 20 minute drive to work. Lame, but there is an upside to this story. I had one of those days off and ya know what I did? Bet you will NEVER guess. I went hiking.
YUP! That's right... ME! Sydney Ariel, went hiking. Now, if you know me at all you will be well aware about how unusual this is. I am a natural home hermit. I love my bed, I love being home and just being downright lazy. I think there is nothing better then relaxing. Yet, I do get the jitter bug every once in a while and I was itchin' for an adventure once Craig pitched me the idea.
Not surprisingly, we got the wrong path and were put off from our actual course for a good 45 minutes. But once we got onto it, it wasn't so bad. Other than the fact it took us a little over 4 hours and it ended up being a seemingly never ending 5+ miles. Even making us so exhausted and speechless that at one point Craig said to me "Well now it's getting awkward, I don't even have anything else to say to you!" What a punk! hahaha. Other then the few hiccups, it was awesome and I ended the day feeling accomplished.... not to mention I woke up with some killer cramps in my legs! WOO!
