POWER!!!!

Finally got my power back on....

Hurricane Irene didn't do too much damage in my neck of the woods, though 

she did manage to take out my power since Saturday at 5am. I can say that I will

hands down always choose power over none, but it was fun! 

I am normally a big scaredy cat. My house is wicked old, like 150 years, kind of old. 

It was supposedly part of the under ground railroad, hence why I happen to have 7 (creepy)

doors in my room to help me drift off to sleep every night.

BUT this is besides the point. My weekend was spent at home, preparing for the storm to arrive.

We got lucky we didn't get hit too bad. There was this huge tree in the street in front of my

lawn that fell and took down all the power lines with it. Overnight my front yard

turned into some sort of weird tourist attraction for the neighbors!

Guess you see what folk like us do in New York when there isn't any power.

In other news. I started school today.... ugh! 

When will it be over?!??

Class from 8 am until 10 pm! OUCH

But but but... despite being trapped in 3+ hr long lectures, something kinda 

funny happened that made my day!

Here I was in class getting up from my seat, to go out for our 15 minute break, as 

was the guy who was sitting directly to my left. I had been scanning the

room all class long (clearly being a fantastic student) and noticed

how awesome his T-shirt was! Naturally, being me, I had to say something.

Fast forward through short compliments & conversation. I begin to walk out, only to notice

that I was cutting him off. So I stepped back and did one of those big overly

dramatic hand gestures that people do when they are clearing the way for someone.

Seemed only natural, right?! Then, ya know what he did?!???

He HUGGED me! Yup! He got confused and thought I was going to give him a hug.

My heart just burst, it was such a silly mistake, but I LOVE hugs!

Sorry that was a completely babbling version of it, but I am just happy. I mean aren't

hugs (even random ones) just awesome!

I believe I have just made a friend!

My Heart Aches

I am sure everyone has read this by now but my heart just aches so much seeing this.

For everyone and everything that loses their life or gets hurt in any and every way 

by the wars that our world has created.

This photo says everything. During Navy Seal Jon Tumilson’s funeral, his son (adorable puppy) Hawkeye guarded him one last time.

These people (military men and families alike) give up so much for the service.

Life is a terribly precious thing and should never be wasted.

Shaking with excitement!!!!

Today is wonderful!!!

I mean despite the whole brother leaving for college and the impending hurricane of doom.

Other then that I got into a class that I wanted to get into AND I got called back for

an interview at Nordstrom! YES! My favorite store ever called me back.

I am beyond pumped right now. I have the option of getting a full time position,

that will be a ridiculous amount of work and I work on commission. 

It's going to be a challenge. An amazing challenge. This is such a blessing. 

I am getting a chance to try again. Getting a chance to prove to myself and all others 

that I CAN do this! I am so excited. 

I mean I get to work here

So neat and pretty!

Oh and have I mentioned the absolutely insanely amazingness that is their shoe section?

It is every girls shoe DREAM! 

I am busting at the seems, dancing all over the place, scream top of my lungs,

kind of happy right now!

I am going to go bask in the wonderfulness that is life!

Ohhh the mind does wander on dreary days!

Hello!!!

I am feeling particularly cheerful today. There really is no rhyme or reason for such an extraordinary phenomenon to occur to, well, lil ol' me, but it has! I am in one of those rare moods. One of those no matter if mother nature decides that she is going to make it rain like a waterfall outside your windows, or that a meteor might just fall right on top of your car, you by jolly are in a GREAT mood! Yes, I am in one of those. Nothing particularly amazing happened today. I registered for classes at the local college so I could continue my wonderful education and I just finished applying to FIVE different jobs. That isn't the reason for all the joy that is seeming to ball inside me and burst out at the seams, there is none. I am just happy.

It's an amazing feeling! I want to go and dance in the rain but its currently stopped and my dog is looking super duper cuddly right now. So that has decided it folks, law & order and doggy cuddle time!

Ohhh what a life!

Well here I go...

This is my attempt to get my life back.

My way of making sure I preserve all those precious happy moments in my days.

Something for me to fall back on and have to keep me on track.

I am normally an easygoing happy go lucky kind of girl. The kind of girl that

seems to be something out of a story, some would say its annoying how happy she is.

I guess that can only last so long. I mean, everyone has their low points in life. Right?

Well, this is my answer to get out of mine.

I am looking forward to progressing and getting back on track with all of you.

I hope that whoever reads this will stick with my throughout 

the ride and enjoy.
